Stephanie Ingoldsby - 2024 Poster Arts Contest Winner
Santa Barbara is where I was born. My heart is here between the rocky faced mountains and the blue Pacific. My grandparents, Bob and Maxa Roberts owned and ran The Frosty restaurant down at Santa Claus Lane for many years. My granddad and Dad built the giant snowman that stood happily next to Santa Claus marking for many, that you were close to home. So I think creativity and making people smile runs in my blood.
My aesthetic comes through in my face painting company lovingly named after my daughter Lily Sky. I have had my business for about 11 years and I am so grateful for all of the love and support I've received over that time. I can't thank folks enough for allowing me to be part of some of their loveliest celebrations from weddings to birthdays. I've met and painted thousands of fantastic people at celebrations/festivals such as Solstice and Fiesta.
I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I play in acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, sugar, you name it. I've tried to put my mark where I can in the town that I love.
I have participated in about five summer solstice parades over the years. I've been everything from a space alien to a flamingo.I look forward to another amazing year!

As a Latino graphic design enthusiast currently navigating college life in Santa Barbara, I find myself deeply rooted in the vibrant tapestry of culture and creativity that defines both my heritage and my local community. Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions and diverse perspectives of my Latino background, I infuse my designs with elements that reflect my identity and experiences. Balancing the demands of my academic pursuits with my passion for graphic design, I strive to blend innovation with cultural heritage, creating artwork that resonates with authenticity and speaks to the unique blend of influences that shape my artistic vision. In the scenic backdrop of Santa Barbara, I find endless inspiration, from the sun-drenched beaches to the colorful streets, fueling my drive to craft visually captivating and culturally relevant designs. The Summer Solstice is seriously awesome because nature is just stunning around that time, It's like a burst of vibrant colors and life everywhere you look, making it perfect for outdoor adventures and soaking up the sunshine with friends. And let's not forget the amazing festivals and celebrations – it's basically the ultimate summer kickoff that brings everyone together for some unforgettable experiences.
